It is a small village about 25 hours’ land and river road from Lima, on the banks of the Urubamba River in the Amazon.
This community of 43 families (172 inhabitants) lives in agriculture, hunting, fishing and a small animal husbandry.
Currently, the population consumes highly contaminated water from the river. The proposed project is to install a water supply system that will work by gravity. A cement washbasin will also be built at every house. Once the water project is completed, young people often tend to stay in their village and start a family there.
