La Tablada

La Tablada

Santa Cruz de la Tablada is a new village in Huaura Province, about 4 hours’ drive from Lima on the Pacific coast.
The current population has 172 families (587) and 10 public premises: schools, community and other.
People work as a dayfist at the nearby poultry farm, in the archaeological centre of Caral or on agro-industrial farms in the area.

People are currently drawing water from the irrigation canal that they are trying to purify with the means on board.

A hydrogeological study was carried out as well as the well drilling. The water appeared at a depth of 17 m. The water will be pumped by solar energy and then transported by gravity to the 172 houses and 10 premises of the village. Each family will have its cement washbasin.
